Jaya received several awards from Indian government affiliates

BHARAT SHIROMANI 

India International Center, Delhi, India (April 2019)  A local relative receives the Bharat Shiromani (Crest Jewel of India) gold award on behalf of Jaya Kamlani. Many prominent people of India who excel in their fields have received this award, including Mother Teresa and the Dalai Lama.

NAV RATTAN 

Delhi, India (January 2019) Jaya Kamlani receives the Nav Rattan (9 Jewels) gold award. Every year since 1982, this award is given to only nine members of the worldwide Indian diaspora by the Govt. of India, Prime Minister's office.

BHARAT SAMMAN  

House of Lords, London, England (October 2018) Lord Daljit Rana and Manu Jagmohan Singh of the NRI Institute present her with the Bharat Samman (Pride of India) award for her continued dedication to driving awareness of social issues.  

MAHATMA GANDHI PRAVASI SAMMAN

House of Lords, London, England (September 2016) Jaya Kamlani received the Mahatma Gandhi Pravasi Samman gold award for Literature and for her contribution and dedication to worthy causes. 

BHARAT SAMMAN 

Leela Palace, Delhi, India (January 2016) Jaya Kamlani received the Bharat Samman (Pride of India) award from former Army Chief, General VK Singh, now Minister of State for External Affairs and Manu Jagmohan Singh, Secretary General of NRI Institute. HIND RATTAN

Eros Hotel, Delhi, India (January 2016) Jaya Kamlani was presented the prestigious Hind Rattan (Jewel of India) award by Dr. Bhishma Narain Singh, President of NRI Society. Parliamentarians, Chief Ministers, Supreme Court judges and other dignitaries at the event. The award was presented on behalf of NRI Welfare Society of India, an org. under the Govt. of India, for contributions and achievements as an Indian in America and as an author. Press: NRI Pulse

IAAC LITERARY FESTIVAL

Jaya Kamlani was on a panel at the Indo-American Arts Council (IAAC) First Annual Literary Festival at Columbia University in 2014.  She discussed political, social, and economic issues impacting South Asia - her focus was women's and children's issues. Press: HuffPost

BOOK TRAILER

While doing research for her book To India, with Tough Love, Jaya visited 30+ villages and slums in Delhi, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu in 2007-2008. This book trailer Includes several photos from her trip.
